Kurt Alber
(Music…Detroit Sports…Coca-Cola), pictured here with his wife Tammy, is our East Community Pastor.
Kurt has been in pastoral ministry since 1992, and has also worked extensively with
youth camps. Kurt and Tammy and their two boys came to OPC in 2008. As a
family they love hosting parties, hanging out with friends and meeting new ones.

pictured here with his wife Linda, is the Executive Pastor of Ministries. Jim and Linda, along with their adult children
Dave and Julie, have been actively involved at Oak Pointe since 1997. After 27 years as an executive in the telecom
industry with MCI/Verizon, Jim joined our staff in 2009. Jim’s primary passion is for people and changed lives.
He also has a love for new technology … so look for more to come at OPC.

Valerie Herriman (Lake Michigan…Indian buffets… Blackaby…)
pictured here with her husband Al, is our Children's Ministries Director.
She holds a bachelor's degree in Christian Education and has been involved in children's
ministry for over 25 years in the United States and overseas.
She enjoys serving with the many gifted people who are a part
of the Adventureland team.

Dave Hughes (baseball…hiking…treasure hunting with Cyndi…deep frying turkeys),
pictured here with his wife Cyndi, is our North Community Pastor. Dave has been in pastoral ministry since 1992. Dave and Cyndi have three
adult children ages 27, 24, 19. As empty nesters they enjoy hosting dinner parties and hanging out with friends and meeting new people.
Dave's passion is mentoring men in their faith.

Jack Janigian
(Detroit Tigers…Biggby coffee…social media) pictured here with his wife Courtney, is the Pastor of High
School Ministries at Oak Pointe Church. Jack has spent his entire life in the Detroit area, and for the last
13 years has been working in student ministries with junior high, senior high, and college students. He loves

with wife Judy, is our South Communitry Pastor. David and Judy, along with their sons, Stephen and Eric,
were part of the Oak Pointe Church Plant in 1997. Prior to joining staff, he owned his own
painting company for 27 years. He is also a graduate of University of Michigan. Go Blue!

Mark Kaminski (football…pudding cake…Michigan State)
pictured here with his wife MacKenzie, is our Middle School Pastor. His passion for student ministries began when he got
involved in Oak Pointe Church's high school youth group as a student at Novi High School. He graduated from Michigan State University and is pursuing a
Master's in Divinity at Moody Theological Seminary.

pictured here with his wife Paula, is our Pastor of
Life Groups. Prior to coming on staff at OPC, he
spent 18 years in the automotive industry at Johnson Controls.
Greg has an MBA from Lewis University in Chicago and a Master
of Divinity from Michigan Theological Seminary. |

pictured here with his wife Liz, is our West Community Pastor. Rod has an M.B.A. from Wayne State University and over 28 years of sales/marketing experience.
He loves hanging out with people, especially his wife and four boys. |

Daryl Rice (hockey…golf…MSU), pictured here with his wife Nancy, is the Executive Pastor of
Business and Operations. Daryl had similar responsibilities with a church in the Chicago area during the past 5 years. He spent 20+ years in
business as an executive in the high tech industry in the Detroit area and graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree. |
