Life Remodeled: Remodeling lives...one family at a time
Monday, August 6th - Sunday, August 12th in Farmington Hills
Save the date! Life Remodeled will be beautifying a neighborhood in Farmington Hills this summer. Shifts will be from 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. & 1:00-5:00 p.m. This is a great opportunity for life groups to serve together and do yard work and minor repairs while sharing the love of Jesus Christ. They're also still looking for donations of materials and labor, as well as connections to possible corporate sponsors and individual donors. Contact Mark Welti at 248.535.4024 for info.

More Ideas...
We'd like to make reaching out in your neighborhood a top priority this year during E.A.C.H. Come up with your own idea, or check out these suggestions:

  • Knock on your neighbors' doors. Go for a walk in your neighborhood, pray that people will have open hearts, then knock on doors. In your own words, tell people you attend OPC and that the church wants to be an encouragement to them. At the end of your conversation ask if there's anything you can pray for. Cooperate together with your life group to reach each neighborhood you live in.
  • Do a Service Project. If someone in your neighborhood needs something done, do it. Don't be afraid to ask your other neighbors to help you. Working together can be a great time to minister to your neighbors as you serve together.
  • Have a Neighborhood Party. Whether it's a BBQ, tea, dinner or a chili cook-off, invite neighbors over for food and fun. During the event, share your story about what God has done in your life, or have someone from your life group come over so he or she can meet your neighbors. As you introduce your neighbors to the people from your group, it'll become easy to share about Jesus in conversation as people get to know one another.
