Oak Pointe is a church of Life Groups! They are a priority around here. A Life Group is a gathering of 8-15 people who come together on a regular basis with the common purpose to encourage
one another to grow in Christ and to establish spiritual friendship.
We have over 140 Life Groups within Oak Pointe and more are forming all the time. You can connect
in a group at anytime. Our groups vary in location, meeting times and topics of study. We have
Life Groups for singles, women, men couples and more. Our Life Groups are community based and meet all over Metro Detroit.
Life Groups are lived out in our North, South, East and West Communities which are defined by school district boundaries.

Why Life Group Communities?
Focusing on people in your community can simplify your life and link your daily relationships.
The primary characteristics of a well-functioning community can be summed up by the acronym S.A.F.E., (Spontaneity,
Availability, Frequency and Eating together). When a group of people is able to participate in spontaneous get-togethers,
be easily accessible, and see each other frequently throughout the week, it
creates a foundation for meaningful relationships. We believe that setting up our communities based on
geography, or in this case, by high school districts, will provide the
best foundation for meaningful growth and community life.
Did You Know You Have A Community Pastor?
Each Community Pastor is available to help you find the right Life Group. They will make
sure that you and your family are cared for. They help with outreach in your community
and neighborhood. They will help you on your pathway of spiritual growth.
