General Life Groups.

General Life Groups @ OPC.

We have over 140 life groups within Oak Pointe and more are forming all the time. You can connect at any time. They vary in location, meeting times and topics of study. We have life groups for singles, women, men, couples and more. Groups are community-based and meet all over Metro Detroit. Our North, South, East and West Communities are defined by school district boundaries. Click here for a map.

Why Life Group Communities?

Focusing on people in your community can simplify your life and link your daily relationships. The primary characteristics of a well-functioning community can be summed up by the acronym S.A.F.E. (Spontaneity, Availability, Frequency and Eating together). When a group of people is able to participate in spontaneous get-togethers, be easily accessible, and see each other frequently throughout the week, it creates a foundation for meaningful relationships. We believe that setting up our communities based on geography, or in this case, by high school districts, will provide the best foundation for meaningful growth and community life.

Did You Know You Have a Community Pastor?

Your community pastor is available to help you find the right life group. They'll also make sure that you and your family are cared for, and they can help you on your pathway of spiritual growth, too. Community pastors also help with outreach in your community and neighborhood.
