Amanda: Asia, Pioneers
Amanda is a recent graduate of University of Michigan. When she began at U of M she was pursuing an engineering degree, but that eventually changed through her involvement with Campus Crusade for Christ. During her freshman year, she went on a mission trip to Asia and fell in love with the country she visited and the culture. She also gave leadership to the country Partnership / World Vision team where she helped educate Crusade students at U of M about that country and the need for Christ there. By her sophomore year, Amanda felt that God was leading her into long term international missions so she changed her major to Applied Linguistics and Middle Eastern Studies. Amanda then became involved with Pioneers, a Christian Organization focused on church planting. She became an appointee to Asia with Pioneers this year and she is currently raising support for this next chapter in her walk with God. She hopes to be able to move to there in early 2008.
Prayer Requests:
- Pray for enough financial partners to get the last 25% that I need in time to leave Nov. 10th!!
- Pray for great times with friends and family during these last 2 months
my family and friends - this transition will be a big change for not just me but also my
family and close friends.
- Pray for my packing - I have to pack everything I own whether its going with me or being
stored here and that task is very daunting!
- Pray formy state of mind - pray that I can stay
positive and encouraged as I work to get the
last $800 and that I will have a peace of mind
as I move quickly towards this huge life changeteam to really show me that He
was calling me to be a career missionary and I know God did
amazing things through the students this summer.
