We value comfort around OPC and think it's helpful when you're trying something new. They say that information breeds comfort,
so let us help you get comfy before you ever step foot in our building! Get a glimpse here of a typical weekend at OPC--what we
do, where we meet, what you'll eat (really!), and who you can talk to if you have questions.
Simply stated, Oak Pointe Church exists to help people grow to love God in a life-changing way.
Visitors: We hope to help you understand the message of Christ and its relevance to your life.
This church exists for you! We welcome you to engage in a spiritual journey with us as you investigate Christianity and seek the truth about God.
Christians: Our goal is to help you live effectively and joyfully in a relationship with Christ.
We believe that a strong daily walk with God can transform every aspect of your life: work, play, family, priorities,
values and even personal emotions, struggles and habits. God changes everything!
Saturday Evening and Sunday Morning is Celebration!
Our services are held on Saturdays at 5:15 p.m. and Sundays at 9:15 a.m. & 11:15 a.m. at our
building on 10 Mile Road.
How Weekends Work at OPC.
When you enter our main doors you'll notice the Worship Center straight ahead, which is where our services
are held. Adventureland, our children's program, is down the hall to your left. Feel free to stop at the Welcome
Center in the atrium if you'd like help finding your child's class, or if you have any questions about Oak Pointe.
Our three services are identical and run about 70 minutes in length. Between services on Sundays we gather in the
atrium for free coffee, bagels and donuts (cookies/popcorn after the Saturday service). It's a great time to meet new
people and check out the various ministries Oak Pointe has to offer.
What to Wear?
You can wear whatever makes you feel the most comfortable--jeans, khakis, suits, dresses, whatever.
Weekends are pretty casual, and you'll notice people wearing a wide assortment of attire, so regardless of
what you have on, you'll probably see others wearing the same thing. Just be yourself!
A Typical Service.
Topics at our weekend services are timely and relevant, focusing on the issues that are most important to you.
Our goal is to help you deal with the everyday issues of your life in a way that pleases God.
Our music team helps to focus our attention on God with high energy, high quality praise and worship music.
We also frequently have movie clips and other "extras" that help to illustrate the message.

New at Oak Pointe? Here’s a Place to Start!
We'd like to invite you to our next Connect OPC. It's an informal gathering we
have once a month that will help you 'connect the dots' here at OPC. It's a brief overview of the church and is also
designed to give you the resources you need to discover the 'next steps' that are right for you. Meet some of our
staff and others who are new to Oak Pointe, too. No reservations necessary. Children are welcome! Connect OPC is
offered every third weekend of the month, immediately following the first service in Room 138.
Our Welcome Center hosts will be glad to direct you. We look forward to meeting you!
