Bible Reading

My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity. Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

– Proverbs 3:1-6

Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.

– 2 Corinthians 9:6

Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.

– Galatians 6:7

Devotion

A popular old saying asserts “Sow a thought and you reap an action; sow an act and you reap a habit; sow a habit and you reap a character; sow a character and you reap a destiny.” In this cause and effect world we live in, what we habitually think about and pursue often becomes a habit that greatly influences the decisions we make and the direction of our life.

The Big Question

How diligent have you been in pursuing Godly wisdom? In what areas of your life do you need to be more intentional about trusting in the LORD with all your heart, not leaning on your own understanding, and submitting your ways to Him?

Conclude your time in prayer and silence reflecting on what you have learned.
