Devotion
“For the Lord is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting and His faithfulness to all generations.”
God truly is good. He is good all the time; not just when life is going well and we feel good but even when the opposite is true. His lovingkindness and faithfulness never run out or fall short. Everything He does is out of love because He IS love. What He does and how He does it may not fit with what we think is good, so we must remember the mystery associated with God and that His ways are not our ways. Our position as His children is not to try and make sense of things beyond our understanding, but to trust that He is good. As Hebrews 11:1 says, “faith is the assurance of things hoped for and the conviction of things not seen”.
