Psalm 100

Spend time in prayer and silence with God asking Him to meet with you and speak to you.

Bible Reading

Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.

Know that the Lord is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.

For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.

– Psalm 100

Devotion

As the weather warms up, the windows in the truck come down. What a great opportunity to crank up the worship music and “shout for joy to the Lord!” There is something emotional, physical and spiritual that happens when we worship Jesus through singing: There is a re-orientation of our lives around who God is and who we are in Him. We need to take the time to praise God. Our heart, mind, soul, and spirit need to have consistent times of focusing on Jesus.

The Big Question

Do you intentionally praise the Lord each day? When can you roll the windows down, crank up the music, and shout for joy to God this week? Check the weather and prepare your heart for an awesome encounter.

Conclude in prayer and silence reflecting on what you’ve learned.
