Can you imagine trying to survive a Michigan winter without a warm coat and gloves? Help someone in need stay warm this winter by donating new or gently-used coats and winter accessories. We’re looking for coats, jackets, gloves, scarves, hats, earmuffs, blankets (non-electric) — anything that keeps you toasty! We’re also receiving new or used Bibles. These items will be donated to people in our community and in Detroit. Drop off items in the atrium or upstairs in the stroller parking area on the weekend, or at the offices during the week.
Help us provide Thanksgiving meals for families in need. It’s easy! Swing by the Spotlight Wall on November 3/4 and pick up an empty box and a list of supplies. Fill the box during the week with the items on the list, and bring it back to church by November 10/11. The family who receives your box will use all of those ingredients to make a Thanksgiving dinner for their family!
You can also signup to help hand out boxes and supply lists on November 4/5, or collect the filled boxes on November 11/12. You can also help us deliver the meals on November 18. And the best part of delivering meals … you’ll be able to share the message of God’s love!
Join us in partnering with Angel Tree, Angel Gift, CDC, and Cody to make a child’s Christmas merry & bright this year! Choose a gift tag after the service on December 1/2. Purchase the gift during the week and bring it back on December 8/9. You’ll guarantee a joyful Christmas for a child in need!
You can also volunteer to help with hanging and collecting the gift tags, or you can signup to deliver the Christmas gifts to the children. This is a fun family-friendly volunteer opportunity.
