Acts 4:32-35

Spend time in prayer and silence with God, asking Him to meet with you and speak to you.

Bible Reading

All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had. With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and much grace was upon them all. There were no needy persons among them. From time to time those who owned lands and houses sold them, brought the money from the sales and put it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to anyone as he had need.

Devotion

Once again, Luke gives us a glimpse into the life of the early church. This early community of believers was marked by unity and the simple message of the resurrection of Jesus. This community was also marked by generosity and their willingness to share with anyone in need. They shared in each other’s lives and God poured out His grace on this faith community.

The Big Question

Are you experiencing deep life-changing biblical community? Are there people that truly know you? Who are your 2 am friends? Where are you serving and giving? Do you have a need that you have not shared with anyone? If so, what has kept you from sharing it with your faith community?

Conclude your time in prayer and silence, reflecting on what God revealed to you today.
