Devotion
So far, we have learned to Check with God and to Check with God’s Word when it comes to making decisions. Today we will look at the third step in the decision making process: Check with Wise Counsel. In First Kings chapter twelve, we learned that King Rehoboam consulted the elders concerning the concerns of the people. Unfortunately, he also consulted his young friends and got completely different advice. History shows that he should have listened to wise counsel. It is crucial that we surround ourselves with godly counselors that can speak God’s truth into our lives.
