Bible Reading

He who gives an answer before he hears, it is folly and shame to him.

– Proverbs 18:13

Devotion

History is filled with people who jumped to devastating conclusions with disregard for the facts. The fourth step in the decision making process is: Check the Facts. We have all been made to look foolish by jumping to conclusions about a matter before getting all the facts. If only we could go back in time and change some of our decisions based on all the facts. We can’t go back in time, but we can learn from our past mistakes. It is better to move slow in the decision making process than to rush into it without all the facts.

The Big Question

What big decisions are you facing today? Have you taken the time to get all the facts? Are you methodically checking with God, checking God’s Word, checking with godly counsel, and checking all the facts?

Spend some time in prayer meditating on what God revealed to you through His Word today.
